Not bad, although the paint doesn't really have the same texture as the grass, even if it is pounded down. Has more of a sandy feel to it. You may want to actually go spray paint some grass to see what it looks like. That aside, I know this is probably more of a cartoonish piece, but I think there should be a stronger overall lightsource. Right now..it has that 100% ambient feel to it.

ya looks great and yes i thought it was a baseball base also ...hmmm this wouldnt be concidered as a um well portfolio piece, if your trying to get a jod its a good practice though... try doing whole picture like this your colorin skills are nice and have few flaws that have already been stated but ya if the people cant tell what it is...no job so make a whole picture but i comend you on your picture better than I good luck

It looks fine to me.....though its not very *extreme* in subject matter....heh

What company are you applying to? I'm guessing Humongous since you're in Seattle and it's a base. Let me tell you something if it is Humongous. It kicks ass. I'm sitting in an office at Humongous right now and the company is great. What position are you applying for? (If of course it is Humongous)
