Oh, and before someone points it out to me:
The pose is inspired by a linework image someone showed me. I don't have it now, and I have /no/ idea who had made it. But as I said: we're talking "inspired" now, not "copied" .

Wow, that's a spectacular image of the same standard as all your other masterpieces. Those feathers have amazing detail and colour.
The only thing that bothers me is the size of the pec, it looks a bit like a small breast how it pokes out like that, but it's prolly just me. |

He's all hunched over. Small breasts are just what they should look like. We can't all be gaunt, boney things.
Those wings never fail to make me green with envy. |

Looks very feminine. Winged boy has pouty lips and seductive eyes. Looks like he has make up on. Kinda giving me the creeps. |

thats a nice one..
and I like this character too in a rocky-horror-picture-show kind of way
I would make the chin a bit less round and pointy to give a bit more male impression.. but thats just my opinion. |

We can't all be perfect.
All men don't dress in full armour, have strong jaws, and move around like gorillas.
All boys with wings aren't angels in robes.
All guys don't have masculine appearances - let's face it, if you look around, there are some very gorgeous, full-lipped, pouty, long-lashed effeminate guys out there... I'm a girl, I notice these things.
Aaaaand... if there can be drawings of half naked chicks in very kinky outfits here, that are NOT dressing practically, I believe there should be pictures of men in similar get-up, with makeup if need be... Give me a reason to why the women dress like that in other people's pictures, and I'll give you the reason to why this guy looks like this

The picture IS beautiful.
The sad truth is, most guys, especially most teenaged guys online, are scared shitless of male sexuality, and will do anything they can to hide that with bravado. They think that admitting that men can be sexy, or even just pretty, means they must be gay. Not much more to it than that. It's enough to make a guy ashamed of being straight, at times. And so, all the guys you'll see in pictures around here will most likely be any combination of gun-wielding/muscle-bound/bitter/grim/hard-as-nails/arse-kicking/cigar-chomping "don't mess with me" types, while skimpy outfits and provocative poses are the territory of pinup girls with inflateable proportions.
But that's just an opinion. |

You do draw only effeminite guys. I like that being one. I got the full lips, eyelashes longer than most women, hehe.
Great picture, the face did throw me for a moment, probably because of the long hair and the thing he's wearing reminded me of a corset, or whatever those lingere` things are heh. *claps* |

Like the pose and the amount of detail on the wings and the hair. I also like the monochrome look of the piece with a small touch of colour on the wingtips.
I read what you said about there being effeminate men but the angel still looks more female than male. Having said that I still think that this is a real nice piece of work. |

Beautiful! It's quite a lovely style, really. I like your trying the different technique for the hair, straying from your usual divine locks. This new technique is very pleasing to the eye. ;}
Very nice use of different-from-the-norm color choices, too. I really like the feathers, as they remind me of a hawk's wings. And, to this day, I don't think I've ever seen an angel with hawk's wings. That uniqueness is inspiring!
Personally I don't mind the effeminate guy version. He's still quite cute. ;} I mean, if the anime genre can draw guys looking like girls, heck, angels can be that way too!
The one thing I would like to see is some backgrounds. A scene. A story. A narration. Anything, really. I like the idea of what your trying to do with your borders, but I'd love to see how you handle an environment. ;} Great job, btw. |

I just said it looked very feminine and it gives me the creeps. I don't like Marilyn Manson either. If the goal was to make him look that way then job well done. Just the way I am.. I like pretty things and I like macho guy cool looking things.. I don't like things in between. Technique wise the pic is great.. no complaints. (That has got to be one of the oddest compliments I've ever given) You creep me out Enayla!

As mind bogglingly stunningly beautiful as her other pictures are, I personally much prefer Enayla's darker, more twisted side. It has character. Not that her other pictures don't, mind you.
And incidentally, Chapel, I would contend that Marylin Manson (some of his music's pretty good, but as a person, I can't stand him either) isn't even remotely effeminate. Not by a long shot, not in the way Enayla's beautiful boys are. He's just a chap riding the success wave notoriety by controversy always results in, pumping shock value for all it's worth. Not even the Boy George of years gone by was effeminate. In my eyes, effeminate men don't really exist, no matter how much makeup and lace is applied. In my humble opinion, truly effeminate men exist only in fiction, noting that there is a slight difference between 'effeminate' and 'feminine', despite what dictionary.com would have you believe. You often see effeminate men in anime, and, of course, there's Enayla's wonderful art.
EDIT: Had more to say.

I'll wrap up my answers in one, here.
I like things that are "in between". I draw a LOT of androgynous people, and sometimes people with just a hint of kinkiness to them. Like Zreem here. It's actually part of my style - I'm not even aiming to make my male characters more manly. There's enough of that around without me copying it.
I suck at backgrounds. I'm working on that, though. I didn't manage to add one to this picture without taking away from the guy that I considered most important here.
Heh, and I'm glad to hear I creep /someone/ out... since some people seem to think I'm too cute

Wow!
That's a great piece of art!
And about the looks of this angel guy, has anyone here actually seen one and can say that they don't look like that?

Due to the huge net bill i have not read the above posts so here is my oppinion.
Looks really feminine, this means he has a face like a girl and those stocking add to that image in my oppinion the only missing thing here is his/her boobs. The art rox mut i think it looks more like a girl than a boy. |
