I have always known the pencil and paper routine, though I'm not professionally taught I create draw stuff like this from reference art but it still looks cool

I recently bought a Graphire tablet and I want to force myself to draw from my mind as I find it kinda hard not to have the reference pic right beside me so I could glance and sketch. ANy suggestions? anyone else having this prob?

By the way no-one took the time to welcome me in my first post what's up

Hey lildragon,

Welcome to the board. You posted inside another topic first, but now that you have your own, it's official!

Nice Gryphon. I really like the eye... the style reminds me of an eagle in some fantasy cartoon or something close

I also like the way you varied the line thickness and the "sleeves" on the front legs - a cool variation!

...this "Dragon" looks exactly like the "flying whatever" in the animation Movie "The Magic Sword" (I thinks thats the name of the movie)
Did you saw that?

well he said it was froma reference, so I am assuming he meant the "Griffin" I believe it's called from "Quest for Camelot" a rather bad Disney movie

Hi, nice pic. It's a clean one and you are doing well.

Since I'm also new to digi illustration and colouring as you mention it. I thought I would post some links I have found useful.

btw: you could check out Dhabih's tutorial? probably have.

anyways...

Thats my most useful links. I think you'll find the Tutorial Armoury and Micke's pages very useful.

good luck. Colour that pic!
