Water color is very hard to marster, Hum, for me.
Try to play more with different tone and hue.
Just my 2 cents!

alo,
well, there really isn't that much to say, but i guess i can a little.
i used to watercolor all the time 3 years ago in 9th grade.. i never did stuff like this though, (i did frogs, lotsa them, and some fantasy artwork) so s'cuse me if i'm biased.
so, first of all, the shed looks tweaked.. kinda crooked. in cases like this, you want to use a ruler for getting at least a pencil line to follow for perspective and stuff. the top front corner doesn't look sharp enough too. good structure is very imposrtant in.. um.. structures like this one. i think the whole shed stands out in the wrong way; it seems like it depends on the horizontal brown lines to make it stand out. there should be only a alight indication of these lines and the emphasis should be dependent on the white color, not the lines.
i don't really like the compostition in general of this painting. stuff like that tree beside the shed looks like it doesn't belong there. i'm not sure what it is; it may be the spontaneous blue tone. the viewer should get some sort of feeling from the painting, either warm tones like autumn, or cool for winter, greens for summer, etc. the conflict between the cool and warm tones in this pic really thows the whole thing off.
you should make a more apparent point of interest, more than the shed. ok, so the shed's white, and it so happens to be sitting in the middle of trees, and it looks like late autumn. big whoop. that's one reason i never liked landscapes. they really aren't that interesting. the interest comes with the addition of a path, people or a family of deer or something. there needs to be something there that can be the theme of the pic. for example, if this were digital, i would zoom into the shed more and make something happening there, like (s'cuse the girly comment) a family of cats that moved into a hole in the side of the shed. maybe the mom has a rat ready for her kiddies to devour or something. i dunno. my opinion.
hm. as for the painting technique, it's not all that bad. i like the random trees in the foreground(?)
oh yeah, that's another thing. i can tell there is a background of mountains, but the foreground has no depth. there are those brownish trees, then the blush thingy, and the shed, but it all seems kinda flat.
*ahem*
ok, i think that's enough bashing.. now for something good.
i see there's yellow glow shining on the front side of the shed. good. now give some indication of that in the rest of the picture. it's natural that when there is sunlight from one direction, there is a bluish (from the sky) tone coming from the other direction, especially in the summer when the sky is clear. just an idea.
i like the tall trees, they looks deliciously crispy, for trees.
ok kids, i'm done. storytime is over, y'all go home now.

well...iam missing some things in this pic.
the white house in your image looks to clean. Try to get more structure on it... why is the roof also white? I think such houses have sandpaper with tar as roof. Also a single color is not normal. Maybe some some red or green color for the door and other details.
How about some garbage around the house? A rusty barrel for the rain? An old rusty chevy or something would also be cool.
And some stuff in the fore-ground.
Ah...and the shadow is a bit strange...
look at the mountains in the BG and the look at the house...
well..that was it for the mom
Keep on working

like the background(--->trees) much
but I think the house is a bit boring
some more structures/shading on the house would be nice
and how about putting something in the foreground?

MK, that's awesome looking. I like it a lot. Of course, doing that in watercolor is impossible (well, just very difficult). You can expect a digital landscape from me sometime soon though.

Iam sure you can make it with every technique you like. Just plan your image. With watercolor begin with the background the mountains. Use light-colors with much water, and then get darker and darker. Its more simple to add color to an image, than to remove it from the paper.
and remember...nothing is impossible.
If you think your stuck in something or your images dosent look good, or you think it is impossible to finish your work, you learn the most.
