if you read my post you'd have seen about 15 animations.. if you mean 3D, its a LONG story. I'm holding back on completing anything in that department for the moment, but I do have a lot of projects stirring. You're more likely to see some half minute flash episode before any 3D.

I'm kind of fond of your flatheaded goat molesters, but ruts do suck. Are you still using ImageReady or just Flash now and do you have a preference? Don't despair, your sketches and animations are always entertaining. Feeling happy, too

i like the flatheaded guys too but i drew them for so long it was almost impossible to create anything else hehe. i bet the guy who drew garfield felt like that after a while but couldn't do anything about it. or the peanuts guy.

Synj, pretty good cartoon work. I see your still at that balls and penis stage. Funny how men who brag about how big their geintalia are.. always ahve small... ok anyway. Have you ever tried realistic drawings other than your style of cartooning? If so, i'd love to seem em.

yeah, in commercial art we always did tons of still-lifes and realistic stuff. I don't have any digital pics of those though.

I find that spending 2+ hours on one single still image is absolutely ridiculous.

I might have this view because I'm an animator. You gotta pump out hundereds of frames and still people are like "this film is too short". So spending alot of time on one still to me now feels very wrong, unless its some type of background.

eheh hey the only thing I'm drawing big are the balls.. wink wink.

i hate it when this happens. over and over I sink into a rhythmic repeating poopsnort of flatheaded beady eyed morons doing stupid things to themselves and others. well i dont like to draw the same thing all the time. When I realize that's what I'm doing I force myself to sketch things that aren't what I've been doing. Anyways, here's some sketches of me trying not to draw those guys.

I've got alot of other work flying around in different places. There's a bunch of my flash work in the Z daily archive, which can be found here: http://www.z.com/dailyspotlight.zml?id=1041

Since there was a pretty big layoff, I'm basically the only person updating it now so that's one way of seeing work from me daily if you wish.

enjoy!

Say....is the last one kinda inspired by Steel Ghost by rdgraffix ? Kinda looks almost exactly like that one, just mirrored

Apart from that they all ROCK. I would love to be able to draw good stuff in such a fast style.

all the best,

synj, I was just saying so because your composition is exactly a mirrored version of rdgraffix's wallpaper "Steel Ghost". But since it's not exactly a complex composition I won't accuse you of stealing it or anything

all the best,

Kick ass sketches. Kinda nice to see this stuff again from you. DO you have to get specially fitted trousers to hold those cajones in? heh...
A big layoff eh? Another internet.death syndrome, ouch. Glad you didn't get it though. THat would be bad to move out and get the shaft, finding yourself in the middle of LA with only your balls in hand could be a bit much for the soul, not to mention your poor hand(s)
Hope the job stays secure, or you relocate before the big axe takes you too...

good luck synj, and can't wait to see another animation from your maniacle brain.

Do you think you are ever going to add to the Houston we have a POm POm animation?

Bye

hey fred,

yeah, the layoff. Basically it happened because we're looking to merge with icebox.com . It's not a done deal but it looks really hopeful! Yeah I know. I was a bit upset because nobody from the company had told me that they were about to go under when they moved me out here.

the current houston animation is gonna just stay that way. BUT. I think I'm gonna have alot of short clips of houston where something different happens each time. Kinda like a ton of short bloopers, hopefully as funny.

good to hear from you again! oh and hey, if the job doesn't pull through I'm not moving. I'm just gonna find another job here. Down the street is cartoon network, dreamworks, warner brothers, and disney. I'm gonna try for one of those places before I pack up.

hehe

Ben, I'm not sure getting slapped in the head every five minutes by John K. would be all that much fun. Spumco and Icebox are seperate, so I'm sure it wouldn't come up.

Synj, I guess Mozeman contacted you already. Weird happenings in the web world. I'm glad you're still at Z. I hope, if the merger goes through, they have the brains to keep you on.

I like your sketches. They make me want to make cartoony stuff again. You, Spooge, and Fred have special folders on my HD. Right-click save.

We'll have to catch up to you the next time we're out there We'll do some serious sittin' around.
