Hey guys. Been a while since i posted anything (been too busy w/ work). I found some time this weekend and drew these up for fun. I don't have the time to color them, but hopefully some of you can (just give me some credit...=)

I don't like the second one that much...but whateva (her umm...lack of panties was vebjorn inspired...heheh). I will record the process for my next one, so i can finally finish the "how i work" section on my website.

Though i haven't posted for a while, i do read most of the threads here.....a lot of cool stuff lately! I love the mech thread...and Micke's comics are so damn funny.

Here are the bigger versions: Hope to see some cool colored ones soon (i love how the first warrior babe turned out).

Awesome work as usual, feng. I love the faces on these gals, very nice. If I get a wild hair and some free time (deadline coming up, you know how that is in this biz) I may throw some color on that left one there for some practice.

Jeez, I'm just taking another look at them before I submit my reply...man, you just rock. Keep it going man. Finish that tutorial, too. I like to see how various artists go through the motions.

[edit] I'm taking another look before moving on and I caught those etchings in the boots, breastplate and slingblade or whatever you wanna call that thing...nice touches, very ornate.

-Flinthawk

P.S. Remember in one of your past threads that I mentioned I was trying to get into some concept stuff down here? Well, my director just asked me to work on a few for the game (you know which one) when I get some time =)

It would be nice to color something with clothes on.
The weapon is cool though.

Hi Feng!

I love your linework! Especially the technical stuff, but your characters are incredible as well. The details are incredible. Keep it up.

You can see her goods? I can't. Does she even have any?

I really like these. Aside from the fact that they're obviously pretty hot ladies (although, it looks like they might be the same lady on different hair days) I really really like the weapons.

Not sure how functional they'd be, though...

hey vortx, nice sketches. Very sexy girls I'm glad to see you posting again, though I haven't been very active lately myself

Btw, just a suggestion. Since you do a lot of consept art of individual characters and objects at work. When you do things for fun, it would be really fun and interessting to see you make a scene, with background and character/s...with pose and gesture .-like a whole illustration. Since you have so many great designs and characters, it's something I would just really love to see. And, I'm sure it would be fun for you to do that as well, for personal development and doing something that is not ment as design but just as a pure illustration ?

i was gonna say the same thing as Joachim. i think you have a lot of talent and it would be cool to see you stab at a more dynamic scene.

maybe have those two chicks fighting

bigun ver http://www.seraphseven.com/rinaldo/fengcol2big.jpg

3 hours from dowloading to completetion. about 1 hour spent flatting and getting ready.

Gawd I hate flatting. aynd seeing as I'm such a nice guy. I'm gonna post a gif of my flats!! It's such a boring and easy-but-time-consuming task, there's not much harm in doing this, the hard bit is in rendering it up.
all ya have ta do is seperate the line work onto a transparent layer as you would normaly. open up the gif in PS. convert it to whatever colour mode you're working in and drag it into your colouring file. simple. 50 min work in 2. now create a new layer above that and using the flats as as selection tool, start-a-rendering it 'owever you usuialy do. (sorry for the basic explenation if you already know this shtuff).

Ohh... nice pics Feng

nearly forgot the flats.
http://www.seraphseven.com/rinaldo/flatsFC.gif

{edit I changed the hues so no one can go and swipe my colour scheme. it may look like a dogs breakfast right now but get it under that linework, change the colours with the paintbucket, and it will come up fine......I hope so anyway, tell me if it don't)

very nice Rinaldo. i like the green skin alot. my only crit would be that the belly seems a little 2d, like it doesnt receed along with the rest of the figure, but i'm just being picky. again i love it, especially good effects on the metal.

LOL, keep dreaming my friend

hmmmm before the blades were mixing with the BG colour in the flats. it should be better now. if you downloaded it before do so again to save doing the blades yourself.

I like what you've done alot. Sexy but deadly.
Where do you get your inspiration from for things like the armour and the weapons?

Rinaldo's She-Hulk look is good I wouldn't have thought of changing her skin colour to something like that.

What kind of paper are you using Vortx?

And your drawings look a lot like Feng's drawings. Are you ripping him off?

I don't know about you guys and gals, but if I was naked, I would not like to be walking around with sharp blade of that size...

Cool stuff Vortx...your designs really are stunning. Maybe give Joachims suggestion a try though?
