This image is as done as it's gonna get. PS crashed right after I saved this jpeg out (fortunately) so I don't have the latest PSD file saved... *sniff*
Even if I had the PSD though, I wouldn't want to work on it. I like the fact that I completed this is just over 10 minutes. Did it for Faust's fast thread but I wanted to get some feedback.
Woop!

Hmmm.. I know, looks nothing like a tree now does it? hehe
Lemme try to explain, hmm... it was going to be a gnarled, old tree barely clinging to the side of a cliff. The trunk of the tree was where the beak is now, although it's pretty much covered at this point. The wing area was the cliff and some of the lines in there made up the roots. You can still sort of see these jagged, sweeping lines going down the birds neck/chest... those were the branches :> There's also a swiggly line at the top that was part of a branch, hehe
It really didn't look much like a tree at all

Anticz, yeah... the color isn't too exciting, I was going for a dreary, swampy sort of environment I suppose. He's a naughty, mischievous bird
Thanks Hazoc and Wyatt!

This bird scares me !!!
I like his perverse and pride expression.
He seems be thinking:
"Im going to eat your left eye, sucker!"
Personally I like the colors.
The scene seems to be out from a scary movie !!!
Good work!
You really love to draw animals, isnt?

Sempere:
Ack, he scares you?? I'm sorry! I got the same response from my wolf... maybe my animals are too mean? Next time I'll draw something tame
And yes, I really love to draw animals. :> I'm glad you like this picture!
Visigoth:
Thank you! I'm really pleased with the way he came out as well, I'm usually not too good at giving things character but I think this fella has lots of it.

Beth,
Nice work, love the light. Shading on the eye is great. Little cast shadow across the top of the eye really sells it. Color scheme is solid also though, it looks a little neutral. Personally I'd try shifting everything a little warmer or cooler and see if it works. Just a personal preferance though. Nice job overall.

I love the look on that bird's face.
It's either eyeballing its next meal, or a shiney sports car fresh from the carwash.
Nice web site by the way
