I really really like this. It's not realistic by any means, but at the same time it's very believable. Like a lot of your work, it almost looks 3D. I love the clarity and simplicity. Awesome style, awesome scene. The guy in the front getting shot is a great addition.

Hmm i just feel there is far too little detail in it, far more things should happen i think thats just my personal opinion though :/ I'm assuming you are not done though. It feels sorta blank, too much blank on a white piece of blank paper

Hi Godwin.

The snow looks excellent, the footsteps and all! The troopers look a little on the dark side to me though. Maybe give them a brighter tone or some slight white higlights here and there. There ought to be a lot of white light bouncing around because of all the snow and ice.
Also the vest on the soldiers could use some work, they are a litttle flat and boring.

Keep up the good work!

thanks guys

here's what's been happening

to dump or not to dump
i struggled quite a bit with the buildings, trying to get the right colours blah blah, i should've made concept drawings for them
i'll be fixing some stuff with the buildings, namely the lines of highlights, some are too intense for their distance, and adding textures and stuff to closer strctures

Looking good 1 thing, the building closest to us in the distance that is burnt won't be that black from that distance, it'll still be hazy and unsaturated.

I like it Especially the background...
The only thing I'd have to say, is that the soldiers look way to "stiff". I know its probably due to the armor, but I still find it bugging to look at. Especially the guy with the arm into the air.

Verry nice, especially the background!
Some things in the foreground don't seem to catch the light enough though, judging from the lighting in the rest of the scene - the armour, the wooden posts and the broken charred concrete. Mabye brighten the lit parts of those items up a little? Especially the helmets need a little stronger highlight I think.

Maybe the soldiers could get more detail.
They look a bit plastic/toy-like...

The last pics, looks very nice, i espicially like the background! I must agree with Aidan that the soldiers in the foreground looks too "toy"-ish They looks like plastic, i think you need more unique shapes on the limbs and chest (not so boxed) to get away from that look.

the look of the foreground characters and the guy close up to the camera really bugs me. Their simplicity in their design doesn't fit with the rest of the picture. I didn't comment on it earlier since i imagined they were only to serve as markers for the finished characters. I think the design of the helmet in the foreground looks a little too simplistic also.

he godwin good stuff you're showing it really looks like a 3d piece.

it looks like you used photoshop did you? maybe the question was asked before my apologies for that.

Now over to the picture its not my sort of style really but still.. I like it and the added background looks great.

I'll leave it to this.
