Thanks for the tips, Max Tillich...
now.. um... I seem to have trouble rendering colors and shading etc... um..
Help?
again, photoshop 5
I'm not sure if it's my lack of skills or simply being ignorant of the tools available to me:/ |

Hi again Ranuzan.
First: Max Kulich not Tillich.
Anyway...doesn't matter.
I think the dark strokes are the mainproblem. Let 'em away.
If you want to render a character with good shadows etc you should try this tutorial from Dhabih.

Did this overpaint using the technique described in the tutorial.
I'm not a pro myself but....
.......maybe it helps a bit.

Maybe you don't know all of them.
You need to understand how the surrounding enviroment affects the subject. A wild guess won't cut it |

Oh, right... /patience/.
I keep forgetting about that one.
I'll try to put your advice to work abit later... unfortunately, I have to run to class soon(schedules drive me nuts).
Thanks for all your help!
ps. Sorry about the Tillich.. I wish I could use being non-English speaking as an excuse. |
