Hello hello, again.

Had an incling to see what I could do with Painter over one of my WIPs. This one seemed the best to try it with. It was started in PS and has come quite far fairly quickly with painter.

I like painter's ability to pick up and blend color a lot better than PS. Been taking large advantage of Luna's suggestion about adjusting the resaturation setting of the brush to smudge color together. All in all I'm kinda excited about it.

Does anyone see anything in particular about the background or perspective I should work on though? I have a weird feeling about the background... don't really see why.

Thanks,

JN

Well, I can't see much wrong except for perspective.. it seems like the corner's obtuse and not 90 degrees. According to the chair and your figure, the wall facing us is perfectly parallel to the screen; so the wall headed toward us should be exactly perpindicular to us, and we shouldn't be able to see it...

Hope that makes sense.

Unfortunately to fix that, you have to get rid of that nicely done wall, or redo the entire figure! This shows how important a good technical foundation is.

Exactly! Sorry I should've said something about the construction of the pic: The room he is in is actually part of a hexoganal-shaped airlock and he is on a raised area of the 'lock so you would have to step down to get to the area to his left. Any suggestions to make this more evident would also help. Thanks. Otherwise i'll have to redo it all over again like you said. I don't have an aversion to that though.

Sorry yall, the newest update is back at the top. Reason: the image above is linked to the one that shows up on my site. Anyway, I've had some suggestions that the perspective on the other one was confusing so i got rid of a lot of the background and just working at getting some solid compositioning.

Like it? Let me know if I need to change some stoff, please.
