somehow it is funny that every time someone disagrees with me on my opinions i state out here, i get subscribed to ~20+ newsletters.

at least this time i won't be getting gov/us rooted emails to my work box with abuse warnings in them. werd.

i can't be arsed to dig in that deep. it's a very far shot to start e-mailing the newsletter maintainers "hello, i'd like to know who registered me as me to this mailing list blahblahblah..."

ip number does what good? hm? chances are very high that the person is using a (a)dsl, cable or such box, and if this is the case, the closest i can get if i'm lucky is the person's internet service provider (and thus, nationality), which is pretty useless as well.

total fucking bullshit. like i said, i will return the favor to all of the people i dislike here, sooner or later. not today, maybe never if i calm down, but if i start getting abuse warnings and whatnot like last time, then the favor will be returned to everyone equally.

So next time someone does something as petty as subscribe you to a newsletter, trust me.
There is no way for them to know that you actually received it, or were pissed off....if you do not post something.

Isric: Um, no. fgfxgfxffgfx has been registered longer than you have. In fact, he registered a mere 5 months after the forum began, and in which the first 5 months were a sparsely populated miscellany, with no more than 500 members, most of whom posted nothing.

Can we scapegoat Kuusi? Sure. People have been doing it for a year now. It's easier that way, to pick on someone who's well known. It gives the appearance of reason.

Kuusi is just a bored Finn. I rememember the days when he had a comment in literally every active thread, across the forums. He was well known, from the newbies who got an insult from him, and the elder snobs like me who saw him posting random things in things that were not random. This was his downfall, and his main reason for scapegoat availability. See, every single person has posted just as much of a destructive post on this board as Kuusi at least once. Most of these are ignored, as the names are not familiar to most readers, and thus the opinion is surely invalid. The opposite was true with Kuusi. He was so well known, that any time he posted ANYTHING that didn't agree with someone, they jumped on him and accused him of farting on Dhab or being a closet homosexual, or a korn addict, or a generally destructive component.

Has Kuusi posted useless, negative bullshit? Has he been an asshole, even when it wasn't deserved? Has he contributed to the decay of this board?

Sure, he has. I have too, and so have you, and Enayla and Craig Mullins and Dhabih Eng and anyone who has posted more than five times. It's unavoidable, entirely excusable, and blown out of all proportions.
