I'm currently working on a logo for a go-cart club. It's still in progress and I will add more proposals soon.

Say what you think. Anny ideas? My idea with the rhino is a representation of power.

C&C are welcome!

is this logo supposed to be painted onto the karts themselves?..anyway, have you tried to shape the letters to the shape of the rinoh?.. im not sure about the gradient?, the rino might need a black outline like the type just for balance..??..keep working at it

1. The symbol, in proportion to the wordmark, is a bit large, it would take up a lot of space on printed material, and if you were to shrink it too much, you'd probably lose the legibility.

2. Motorsports requrie something that is a bit more sleek. The wordmark looks like a masthead for a sunday comic strip, which doesn't really convey the feeling you want.

3. The gradient on the symbol should somehow tie into the rest of the logo, otherwise lose the gradient. Try to design your logos as flat black/white at first, and if it works then, you know you have a good composition to work with to start adding to (90% of the time you dont need to add anything besides color though, logos are all about the simplest form).

4. Try to avoid outlining small text. On the words "motorsports sweden", the outline is bunching up and some letters appear heavier than others in weight, which is bad, because you're creating an unnecessary focal, which looks accidental..well..because it is

5. I like the rhino idea. You might even be able to break it down so far that you dont need the eye in there. It's really distracting when you have the wordmark along side it. It's not so noticable when just a standalone symbol though.

Keep it up, and try some really different ideas, each totally defying the next, then when you have one out of those, refine it. You shouldnt get stuck playing with just the one type of logo, even if you love it. I personally like this, I just think it could be a bit less cartoony. Hope some of this actually helped..take care and keep it up.
