Hi everyone. I haven't been posting for ages. I felt like designing a chunky chopper tonight. Please feel free to give comments on how im going so far. I basically do my concepts in 3d lately ( I hope I don't loose my drawing skills altogether). I've been mucking about for a couple of hours now with the basic shape so its way to early for me to texture or anything. I haven't got to the complexities yet either. Just going for basic shape and style (making it up as I go along). :> )
The landing gear is a place holder only at the moment - its from a helicopter model from 3dcafe.com.
I hope you like it, tell me what you think.

Well, Looks very tight. I dont think anyone of us experts in helocopters, so we cant really point out "anatomy" issues.
Did you start out with a block and work from there, extuding and so on, or did you use a different method?
Can we see the reference pictures if you used any? |
