I've been working on a portait of my good friend Stacie today:



I did a quick digital sketch of her over a year ago when I first got my tablet (here), and she liked it enough to hire me to do another one. I tried to talk her into letting me take some reference photos for it, but you know how girls are . . . I ended up using a studio-lit shot from some sorority thing, so I'm trying to only reference it for proportion while inventing my own illumination and backdrop.

I'm only about half-finished at this point, so if you have any suggestions, toss 'em my way.

great pic!! only things---ehem---i know its only half way done as yu had said but so far...her face appears to be really bright and through my eyes the background and lighting isnt corresponding to the lighting on her face---next...umm just maybe make the hair a little brighter (highlites) since the face is all lit up the hair needs some attention too hehheh---
