Hi,

I didn't see the previous work, but its good that you are using the feedback to improve (I mean that is what this place is all about, when you break it down). Overall, its nice work. On anatomy, his torso seems a bit long, but not terribly so. I get the impression he is walking down a forest trail at night...if so, his pose is a bit static. He is obviously bummed about something (good facial expression), so his gate would be more "slumped and shuffling", if you will...I know that's not very specific, but hopefully it helps. On lighting, it should be more dramatic...given the darkness of everything else around him, the light from the lantern appears to be the only light source, so the parts of him that are not getting direct light from the lantern would be in deep shadow. His facial expression is good, and overall the style and drawing is well done. Anyway, I hope my babbling helped, keep it up

hi,

i thought i might be able to help a little...

i agree with what cptoonz said about the light and i think the main problem is that you got to much "fill" directly on the front.
that together with the fact that you don't see ANYTHING around him gives an impression of him being cut out of a much
brighter environment. i made a quick mock up in shake to illustrate my point. hope you don't mind.
i also think you could try painting the light coming from the lantern in different colors rather than using yellow all over, by
doing so you'd get more depth.

take a look at your bright bits on the left hand side, they look kinda' gray to me...

keep it up, and don't be afraid of contrast
