As it's going I'm quite pleased with what I've got but I'm not entirely sure about the background. I've got him holding a burning support beam and there's going to be a fire in the bottom right of the pic but that's all at the moment.
Any crits or ideas are welcome.

So far it looks good, I like the yellow lighting you are going for there. Only thing I can crit is Hulks hair do seems kinda of "Grunge" thing unlike his wildfire boycut he has in the comics.

Thanks for your comments Svanur.
I haven't read any comics for years but I think I remember Whilce Portacio and Liam Sharp both working on The Hulk (I think it was around the time when Bruce Banner was stuck in the form of The Hulk but was intelligent) and drawing him with longish hair.

I'm going for 2 light sources in a darkened area, one strong light source coming in from the left and a second (fire) from the right. I'm still learning when it comes to light sourcing but I've seen that when there are 2 sources you get a dark flat area inbetween, I may be wrong but that's what I'm going for.
Yes that is a makeshift palette I find it easier to have the colours I need for individual pictures on the canvas and it saves time for me aswell.

I really like the drawing -- good anatomy. One thing that's bothering me, though, is the shading it. It seems kinda...well, "half-assed" is the best I can put it. Particularly on his right (our left) side, it just looks kinda flat. I'd work on modeling the forms better.

By the way, those color blobs on the left side - is that a makeshift palette? I thought I was the only one that did that.
