I am the newest member here as of May 24 at 10:45 PM, and I'd like to say hello.
Also, I've been working on a picture for the past few days, and I wondered if anyone had any c&c.
I'm a poor judge of my own work, so I'm probably oblivious to any glaring errors I may have left unfixed.
By the way, because I don't know any html and I'm using Tripod, I can't post images like the usual joe on these forums would. Unless someone knows how and will tell me, but somehow I think my case is hopeless.

Love your space pics! Very cool! Especially the quasar! You got to tel me how you get those nice stary backgrounds!

And the BW girl pic that you actually posted about is nice, I felt it looked a little flat on the right hand side, but I liked the shading very much. Keep up the cool work!

Starry backgrouds eh? Mine aren't very good at all, but I'm constantly improving them. Most of the time for the stars I paint the background a very dark blue, red, or whatever colour I want the stars to be, then I take the dodge tool, size it real small, and poke out a coloured point of light.
As for the nebulae, those are a bit more complex, but essential it's just me and the smudge tool.
