Finally I get to use a cheesy title like this
But actually there's no beauty here, and the bathing isn't so exciting either. I was trying out Painter 7 on Mac OS X, here's what I got...

(In case you can't tell, there's a waterfall, a clothed girl in the water, and it's a cave of some sort. I think...)

I don't think there's any way for me to finish this and it's probably not worth it either. I hate the waterfall

Anyway, I'm used to painting on PC, and I thought the Wacom tablet had a bit smoother feel on the Mac, the pressure sensitivity in particular. I checked the Wacom preferences that they were the same I use on PC, so I don't think it's got to do with that. Anyone else had a similar experience, or am I just imagining?

i think this is really beautiful. i love the freshness and looseness of it.. it love the palette and mood. i dig this.

i don't know anything about mac tablets and how they differ, but maybe os x handles processing of the tablet input quicker?

Really vibrant. I like it alot. I think that there are some areas that could use some more depth, and defanition.

Wow, this is awesome sfr.

Yeah, I think keeping it at this more gestural vibrant stage is sweet but maybe if you were to seperate things a tad more. A little more definition, pop the figure out against the bg with some stronger highlights or overall brighter blocking.

I think the water looks pretty cool, of course it'd have to have a nice back light coming from somewhere.

Thanks for the comments, I appreciate it!

The problem is, I didn't really have any idea of what this was supposed to be, so I'm afraid that if I try to add more definition it will just take away the "happy accident" (if you can call it that) and result in a forced, boring image...
How do you get over that feeling?

But maybe I will try to finish this image soon, I like it a bit better now than when I did it.

saffron,
i tend to agree with you. i think this one is done. not every image has to be supertight-polished. i personally dig loose energetic pieces like this...

however, since it is digital, you could save another version and start monkeying with that, and if you don't like your changes.. no one needs to know =)
