Yet another design for one of the 5 main characters for a project I'm doing. So far you've seen Tenebris 'the shade', Lux 'the protector', Severn 'the wrath' and this is Scy'Rahn 'the hunter'
Any crits on style, design, concept are welcome, enjoy

real cool concept...nice line variation, it appears to my humble eye...do the legs have a standard humanoid knee? as opposed to the "morphy switch back knee thing" you get when you slap the hind legs from a four legged creature on to a bipedal one? Just curious, and I hope that question made sense. Really nice execution on the detail...particularly the weapon, I dig the spikes jutting out in all directions...Rock on! |

thanks for the comments. He actually does have the dog leg style knee joints, but as this view is almost straight on the majority of the joint is hidden. |

very very nice, i love your charaters. such nice clean inks, very detailed on the chest/head area.
after much looking, the only thing i could find somewhat off is the horns. i think maybe they are both pointing too much to his right, but then again nothing is perfect in natrue so maybe that was your intention.
are you desigining them for yourself or a company? do we get to see them colored? ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

thanks for all the positive comments There are a couple of problems with this one, but I am going to let them go as this is only a guide for drawing the character in future (he is going to appear in an online comic).
As for how I get a piece of work to this point, first I sketch out a very rough idea, then trace it off and sketch in the details then trace it off again and draw everything in light pencil with clean lines. Then I ink over the pencil, once over the whole picture with a technical pen, then again picking out the thicker lines with a gel-roller.
If there is enough interet I might do a tutorial on how I work in more detail. So let me knoe if you would like to see that? |

This is so great, you're soo talented! by the way I'm writing this reply because I'd like to know where I can find your other characters? Also, could you tell me if your project is going to be completed soon and where we'll be able to see it once completed?
A very impressed BlackZ |

thanks for the compliments, the comic won't be online for a while yet as we have only just started on it. The other characters are here...
Tenebris - the shroud
Lux - the protector
and Severn - the wrath (but she is in the process of being re-designed.
