At painting in photoshop. I know you guys can help me with this. It doesnt look right to me at the moment. Am I heading in the right track? How would approach this concept?

Well I think that the painting is coming along great. The paint is sketchy but defines things well. Some areas might need to be darker, but hard to say at this time when the rest is not yet painted. My only real suggestion is to work over the whole piece at the same time rather than concentrating on sections.

thanks for the feedback. Im trying to get to grips with the brush I have tried for a long time to paint so fluid and graceful in photoshop like the many talented artists here but it always looks like crap. I dont have a traditional painting background and Im trying to learn as much as I can about color and light. Trying to incorporate this into my conceptual works. Here was my initial thought for the image but I figured I should try a more straight forward lighting setup until I get more advanced.
