To me it looks like the poor frog is about to slide off her head and fall into the water. |

I loooove the start on this one.. as mentioned, the looks are priceless, not too much, just enough, will be interesting to see this one finished.. the only thing htat bothers me is her left eye (our right) it's pulled out too far to the edge and up compared to the other one.. should be easy to fix ... Nice idea
*edit*
having looked at it again, i also think the lips are a bit too large...
*end edit*

LOL... great... love the look on their faces... It actually like there's some strange interplay between them... Which is really nice.
I don't quite like the look on the girls face. Too standard cutie. Too bland. But, then again I love the look in her eyes(That calm, wonderous, and somewhat baffled look).
I think it would be great if you could translate that look into her whole face(Hope I'm not just bebbling here. it's always hard to talle when I'm writing in english).
The frog is perfect. He's looking very, very satisfied with himself.... ("Oooh...gribbit... look what I caught myself!")... extremely cool.
Other than that, it's hard to say anything, since the rest is so vague. But your off to an excellent start.
I'm greatly looking forward to seeing the picture finished. |

Thanks Basse_Ex for your comments. She's very sketchy at the moment. So nothing is final yet but I'll consider your comments.

I like to do smal self development programs in order to become a better artist with specific goals in minde to achive like lighting, style, consepts and ideas...
And the subject just popped up. It's very rough at the moment but I will try to achive a specific light condition where she's in a tropical (jungel) lake. There shouldn't be anny artificial lights... maybe some white reflectors to easy up the shadowed areas but then again, maybe not... I'll try to just use the natural light coming from the sky and to add minut detail in the skin and hair and frog. Tropical frogs are very beautifull and rich in colors. Also to render skin, hair and whater are difficult so this little project will be a good practice.

Looking very good...
The expression on the girl is great with that slight cross-eyed look.
My only complaint is that the frog is starting to loook slightly evil. |
