I see there are a lot of new people here? I suppose im yet another :P
Oh well... I was at another board but nobody ever commented on my stuff there so I might as well try here
I think I might barely be good enough
It was sketched in opencanvas and then colored in photoshop.
Im not sure about the water since it is the first time Ive ever done water...
Could I get some critiques?

Well I must say the cg is looking great, but your perspective seems to be ascew.
as you can see your vp seems too high, it gives the affect that the boat and ferryman are leening heavily to one side.

Sure I'll help
Here's the idea, you can building anything from anywhere basically, if it's on the vp line of referance.
here I basically just built some cave mouths at the vanishing point line, then made them go farther into themselves just for fun. Then I added stilactites (erm) to gives some reference for distance. Usually familier objects will help distinguish distance. So you could maybe add a person on a shorline in the distance, or close up to give the viewer some idea how far away those caves are. |

I see
I like your extra cave features
The problem remains that the water itself, the waves etc still belong to the vanishing point at the top of the picture.
I will probably have to redraw those as well unless someone can point out an easier way to do it. |

the drawing is working out in the foreground, but you should go for something dynamic in the background instead of keeping it as a flat plane of water floating back into multiple caves. at least make one cave opening larger than the others to direct the waterflow more ! |

Toaster you saying I was not tring to help you on the other board? And Kodiak from the other board has come here to help you as well . I think Kodiak has put a handle on the perspective ,so my only comment is the placement of his hat . It does not apear to be setting on his head . Draw the line that represents his skull and you will see what I mean . Comming along nicely ! |

the blurred style/effect is really nice
i'd like to see how the light and water is reflected on the cave walls

Your figure and light are great! One possibility is to darken up the background significantly, if you don't want to spend much time on it. Let the lantern light be the primary light source of the picture--it wouldn't illuminate much of the background. |

Reminds me of King's Quest 6... I think this has a lot of potential, I'd love to see this finished. |
