for some reason this question pops up everywhere...
For me it usually depends on the type of artwork. If I'm doing a more grunge piece then usually acoustic versions of some incubus songs and then some staind songs, mostly just slow acoustic stuff. When I'm doing a more digital sense of art then it's usually hard rock (godsmack, POD, Metallica, etc.) then I throw in some digital stuff like from game soundtracks. The best game soundtrack has to be Armored Core:Master Of Arena for Playstation. It has a really fast techno-ish side and a slower more suspense adding side, it's just all-around good ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Lately, I listened to a lot of Godspeed You Black Emperor and Mogwai. Those instrumental space rock is perfect for the kind of artwork I'm doing. |

thats very different:
on the one hand good soundtracks (final fantasy orchestral, metal gear solid, the rock, etc)
sometimes just metal (motrhead, dimmu borgir, cradle of filth, thorns, emperor, hypocrisy and stuff like that)
often some experimental things like tool or nin (thanx dark horizon for the hint on these two)
or i listen to goa no, its not bad to have a monotonous but energical music in the background which listens passivly |

Oh no... Don't get Faust started with this.. His list will cause another forum crash..
Tetsuo, there's a couple of threads like this in the history with hundreds of replies, if you really want to know. |

I have 885 files in my winamp playlist. I will NOT make a list of them.
I found music from Homeworld games really good, tho. Ambient. Something like Future sounds of London is great.
My latest interests are PsychoExGirlFriend -voicemails. ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

Ahcri - God Speed you say? Good choice. Have you seen them playing live at all? It's quite something seeing all nine of them playing away, 100% focused on their own parts, yet making it all sound so very very coherent. And if you like Mogwai, keep an eye out for Aereogramme when their first album comes out in August.
As an aside, don't you hate these f*ckers that come and post on a thread just to tell you how pointless it is? Oh the irony of it. It doesn't hurt anyone then - blatant shit-stirring aside - what's the problem? |

I would love to see Godspeed live, but I also don't get any vacations and they won't play at my town. It really sounds interesting though. It's just like classical music.. only less boring. |

(I sometimes think the moderators just don't give a damn anymore...=) hehe, no offense Suma, Enayla and Dhabih.)
Here's another awesome and greatly interesting chatty-bitch thread to start in a digital art forum: "What's your favorite pizza topping while listening to 'flanged' Snoop Doggy Dog 16KBPS MP3s at 2am when you know you have school the next morning and your homework isn't even done?". Mine is raw liver. |
