hey all i am new to this only been doing it for about 6 months and i only have photoshop and a mouse(really want graphics tablet) butenough about me i would like some CnC on this picture im coloring

You'd benefit from more consideration of cast shadowing. Think about where the light source is and the brightest spot will only be the surface closest and facing the light the most. Places under arms and under the chin would be the darkest, then follow through with logical value choises for every point on the body.
Technique is good, it's the values that make it less than real. |
