you should upload your image to an online server - one which allows direct image linking- and post it in your message using the following syntax-
[ img ] URL [ /img ]
(without the spaces)

You know I really wish they would add this to the FAQ. Not like any newbies read it anyway, but they really should have a HELP ME! section for the clueless.

Something like:

How do I post a picture?
If your picture is hosted on Geocities/Angelfire/Tripod, it won't show! Just give us a link!

And so on.
