well, I'm interesting to read your comments about design of my website.
All links work fine but still under construction, and 3d pics are so old!!
...I' ll update my works later. |

Bonjour!
Be mindful that my main comments are directed to "content delivery", and my assessment is rather focused on that respect.
I come to your site, and I an presented with a splash screen directing me to enter by click through; a window is spawned with your preloading .swf. When done preloading I then have to click again to start actually seeing your content. So you have a unique domain that you pitch to users for your content, but the user has to go through a two click/step process to get to the content; shouldn't the unique domain that you registered be the kick off point for your site? Two clicks is in my opinion too much work; having 'enter' then "enter" again is redundant navigation.
On the preloading screen:
You have a Runtime Error on line 7 - "invalid argument". Might not be a show stopper but perhaps worth checking.
Also the "star(?)" graphic is not intuitive for accessing - especially with "Enter" right below it; the first impression is to click on "Entre". Don't make navigating your site a guessing game; use standard conventions - especially if you're pitching your site to potential employers; they want to see what you do and what've got - right now. Chances are that if people don't get it, they will leave.
The large, primary navigation elements in the center fo the page seems to throw the composition off. I would suggest a consideration towards aligning it more to the right with the tendrils out left thus lending a more visual, circular continuity; your gallery window (which by the way clicking on the images creats another line 7 invalid argument error) might be better serve to the left with that rotating thingy in less prominance (it's continuing, looping rotation is a bit distracting). I know you're gallery window is reserved for the upper right, but when it is isn't present the site looks center heavy thus giving the right side a dead space look.
The little email icon looks a bit cartoony for the rest of the look and feel. You have a real interesting look and feel going on here, but the letter icon doens't seem consistent with it.
Aside from that, I think what you've done so far is great looking - I like the look and feel. Nice work overall!!

You're right about naviguation...maybe I'll build an HTML release, to allow an basic and speed access to contents..
I like games, and i'm looking for jobs as gamedesigner or 3d modeler,so it s important for me to play with my website..
so, i'm going to build this realease...giving a choice to visitors and especially to potentials employers
About bugs ("line errors")...i'll watch that
and the little icon to e-mail me, it's an temporary icon

You are welcome!
Yes - having a high bandwidth (flash) and low bandwidth (html) entry point isn't a bad idea - it's pretty common.
I wouldn't worry too mcuh about the runtime error(s) - I have Visual Interdev installed on my box, so it picks up the slightest issues; you'd be amazed at how many high profile sites out there deliver runtime errors (CNN, ABC, etc).
Keep us posted on the future developments. |
