Here is over sketch. The postition that you have chosen is not an unusual one. Many people choose this because if places the viewer as a focus point of the action. It does come with its complications though. First there are alot of foreshortening issues that have to be resolved. It also limits the flow of action that can be percieved. The postion can also create a flatness in the region of the character, throwing the balance off. All combined can result in a very static, unmotivational, unbalanced piece. A result that I know you don't want. There are two options I sketched out that could be done. This is not to say that what you have done could not be done. It can, but with alot of struggle or practice. My suggestion is to place the viewer at a third person pov rather than a first person.
Good Luck

sup ``
yep i agree with the position that basement talked aobut.. perhaps a more dramatic pose ? and the empty spaces on the sides dont realli seem appropriate .. fill it with something.. or take em out maybe take the axe out and change the sword to a two handed sword ? and have him in the process of swinging it ? something more dramatic..
well thats all`` keep it up ! like to see what happens
