TO CLARIFY: I PAINTED THIS
I can't seem to reproduce the skintones is what I am trying to say.
and I'm having trouble imagining where the body of the woman should be.

I think maybe no one is responding to this because you said reprouce. Reproduce means to copy. Are you copying this or is it your idea?
Anyway nice composition. I like the colourful space in the back ground most people would just put some stars. I do think you should paint the back ground instead of using a photograph. Great job on the left character's hair, it's sort of like the afro/mohawk. Right now the light source on the faces looks a bit wierd. Try to find a refrence for the faces even if it is a mirror. Just to see where the shadows fall. On the blue suit, is it supposed to be metal? if it is then you should put some hard edged lights and shadows into it. Keep going with this one (if you are not copying )it is looking good. |

also what i tend to do when im having trouble gettn skin tones is to scan a photo from a guy or girl from a magazine and just place the dropper tool over the colors that look good and use thos. |
