They are just pencil on paper...
However I transform them on grey for this reason when painting them on the p.c
Step number 1 shows how i use dodge burn on the grey base to get depth
Step 2 is identical im in a rush and LOL.....its basically showing how you add the depth on another layer Im using a drawing...sooo the pencil drawing on paper is on multiply option over grey and I work with dodge burn on this layer thats at the bottom.
Step 3 basically shows using different layer options over all this to colour it..texture it....whatever you want
Its a great technique and the good old way of digital painting you see around here can be combined into this techique...and the outcome is stunning.
You don't really need a drawing on paper to use this technique...
just sketch on grey with burn tool.... and start working!!!

yeah giger inspires me somewhat...
I recently had a chit chat with Brom about business and that made me drift towards a more fantasy/dark theme...
i dunno really :P
