thats looking really nice so far. i was just wondering, when your making a body like this, are you doing that mirror thing so that u work on the left side, and the right adjusts at the same time? (i hope that made sense).

thanks jabber.
I understand what you mean, and the truth is, that i would love to mirror it and work like that, but i don't know how to. ( if anyone knows how, please tell me ) so i make both sides independently(not sure about spelling there).

Use the mirror button, and then press instance, and of course afterwards set the offset so that it's on the other side. I suggest searching for the gmax tutorial set, and if your willing to wait in those annoying lines, I know for sure FilePlanet has the gmax tutorials, since that's where I got them from. They give a nice view of how to use most of the useful tools, like cut and mirroring.

you've gotta delete the vertices from your right or left side, all the way to your center line. then do your "mirror" button and instance. So when you move something on the left, (the original) it does the same on the right. i need to get involved in max again, im loosing everything i've taught myself!! grrr.
