been working on this for a few days now and it seems to be coming along nicely.
its my first landscape work as im used to drawing characters and such.
theres still a fair bit to be done such as more spacecrafts and making things look neater.
anyway comments are welcome.
p.s. does anyone know of a way to to decrease image sizes without loss in detail?

Nice pic...very nice indeed...
One way to decrease size and keep fair detail is to reduce it in stages...take it down by say 70% then run a sharpness filter on it..the reduce to final image size...
Appart from that theres no real way to make an image smaller and retain the original detail, Unless that image is vector based.

I'd say work in the highest resolution that you can. Sure that has enough detail for displaying on the web, but if you ever want to print it will look pretty crappy. Just something to keep in mind.
By the way, I like the image a lot--interesting lighting and clouds. The structure looks sort of dull to me because the detail is very uniform in shape, but that's just my opinion. |

Blimey, it's like something from Flash Gordon! Very good. I'm particularly intrigued by the blue light in the corner.
Like you said, more ships are needed - I think it would look good if they swarmed out to the right hand side. Perhaps a close view of a space ship to set out some perspective? Keep it up.
Where abouts in the UK are you?

I love it. And no! No more spaceships. The light, and the level of activity, everything is suggesting a peaceful sunset on a bustling and advanced city. You sometimes have these moments in big cities, when everything is quiet... you know.
Impressive work. Retro-feeling... |

this is a really nice one! Just a few crits:
I think that in the light(right)side of the town the shadows are to dark cause there would be more light bounced back into the shadows. Don't know if that is true.
The blue light in the corner is strange. In my opinion it would shine on the clouds right of the town and in the background too.
The clouds are awesome!!! |

yeah not too keen on the blue light myself, i was just getting sick of that sunset colour by the time i did that. the light is a very hard thing to pull off with this many objects so i just generalised a little, still i aint finished yet so ill fix a few things till then. thanx |

Hey there, Arc][Pello
I live in this town just outside of Newcastle called Cramlington. Scary coincidence!
