drawing for a friend who asked me to draw some art for snowboards. whee! everything has to have a nautical theme. here's my idea. coloring on it will be those cool murky yellow-blue-greens.
critique very welcome, i want to fix everything up nicely. thanks!

I'm diggin' the nice clean lines, although his ring finger on his right hand seems to be broken, the bend is way too close to the knuckle in my opinion.

If he's reaching for the coins, the coins as they are drawn in this sketch would be as large as a fingernail. And the wood used for the chest would be half a finger wide. So fix that up. Larger coins! Thicker planks!
And how come the air hose is cut? Maybe another diver would explain this. |

ah! thanks a ton. bigger coins definitely. i hadn't even given any thought to the planks yet, but they'll definitely be nice and wide. i'll fix that ring finger too, it does look a little soggy. i tried to make it look like he's wearing big thick gloves but i guess it didin't work on that finger.
you can't see it very well now, but i'm going to have a couple of dubious shadows up near the surface that could be blamed as the culprits of the tube-slashing.
thanks for the comments! i'll post a revised version in a while. |
