Never done any fan-art before, but the idea struck me so hard I couldn't resist. The basic consept is that the side on Luke's left represents his Dark side and the right one his Light side. The empty space behind the characters (Palpatine, Vader, Shmi, Anakin) is going to be space and TIE-fighters coming from the Death Star on the left side and Tantooine + the planet's landscape and a Jawa crawler etc. on the right side.
C&C Most Welcome!
Edit: forgot stuff + added the color version
And yes, it's a _ROUGH_ sketch at best, so the pictures are just there to convey the idea.

Psst... That's why this is called the Work in Progress forum, silly.
As for the sketch, it looks great. I can't wait to see you work on the final piece. I can't see anything that looks wrong. But you might want to be careful when you're rendering the moon/deathstar. The deathstar looks very flat compared to the moon.
This is going to look so cool.

Ok folks, here's a 'pencilled' version of the three leftmost characters (Palpatine, Vader, Luke). Would be nice to hear what you think:

Hey Marvel.
You should think about flipping it horizontally, so that the light side is on the left.
This way it would be correct in the timeline.
As he first was good, then turned evil.
The left side has a past or present, and the right side a present or future "feeling". |

The pencildrawing is pretty awesome man...
Just some isues with the anatomy of Luke's face! The eyes looks off... in size'n shape! The neck seems too thick, and the thing that looks like his right ear, seems to big as well!
Keep it up, looking great! ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Thanks guys for the comments.
Tryzome: an excellent idea about changing the two sides, only thing is I kinda find it more pleasing that the dark is on the left, don't know why. I'll keep it in mind though.
Arkoh: Noticed also that the neck is too thick - I'll take 10% away from it or so (something I haven't done yet). Didn't notice the eyes, but will work on them too (yes, they look a bit odd, but didn't quite know in what way). And the 'thing' on Luke's right side of the head is not his ear but just part of the hair.
Also, a friend of mine said the Emperor looks odd, too fat and not enough like himself - in other words, bad. He also suggested making Vader a bit bigger, which I did.
Any more C&C?
Edit: typo-o-rama + made Luke's neck a bit thinner + changed the left side of his clothing to 'reflect' his past. And also added the second image.

Have you considered changing the places of Vader and the emperor? It would give Vader the feel of a big guy and emperor would be seem smaller, older and more fragile. |

Metaphysically according to magic and such, the placement of the dark on the left (unfotunatley not a politically correct statement for Leftys )is accurate, such the phrase "Being on the left hand path" or the term "Left hand of Darkness". What is Mark Hamill doing these days...is he still producing the Rogue stuff or the comic?

First post.
I like the overall work, at the first signs it had promise, however I think that the eyes for Luke and Anakin are way off. In fact, I think they're off to an extent that ruins the feel of the picture. Luke's eyes are smaller, watching the world with more curiosity and doubt, whereas the young Anakin's eyes were wide and bright.
