Kinda small pic but here is an example of a nicer pose:
I think your pose isn't very interesting, it's not that it's a bad pose, just an odd angle perhaps. |

Fantastic pose andreasj. About the anatomy, watch the legnth of his legs. His right leg(the one pointing left) it looks a bit long. Also (idon't know if you did this for style)but his hips are about 1/2 the size they should be. Maybe think about croping off the white space but I don't know what you've got in mind for it. |

Thanks to all three of you for taking the time.
Dekard: that pose may be nice and all. What Im after is that creepy crawling feeling though. More active I guess.
hunter_rose0: I totally agree about the hips, thanks for pointing that out. The leg is a bit more troublesome as I do want the knee and thigh to make that angle in the outline. As for the croping, This is a first sketch, I really dont have a clue on what the rest of the composition would be like. More than Gollums position (at the bottom, looking up towards us). |

Very challenging pose i must say! And to be honest, I really thinkn you've managed to pull it of!
Only one comment... I don't think I like the way you're hidding his right foot behind the head/shoulder! Its making this pose, that's allready difficult to interpret, even more difficult! Show the deformed thing to the left of his right shoulder, and give the drawing that little more depth! Maybe blur the thing, with a bit of fog creeping over his twisted body or something... (added depth and tension!)
Otherwise very cool sketch!! |

I really like this pose, I think it's interesting. The one Dekard posted is alright, but I've seen it a billion times already :/
I agree with arkoh though, it's a cool pose, so quit hiding stuff in the dark hehe, I'd especially like to see his hand better
I like the way his leg sticks out to the side, but it's way to long in comparison to the other. The face is not exactly how I had envisioned Golem, but that's why it's got your name one it and not mine |
