Well I started reading a book... Very wierd considering it's the first time I've ever read a book on my own free will (besides the Goosebump series). Anyway It is "The Divine Comdey" by Dante (don't wanna find the book to spell last name). I know this pic isn't an accurate telling of the books imagery, but hey it's my pic! anyway here is what i saw when they get to the first circle of hell(don't ask why)...



EDIT: btw this is a cincept for a full painting i want to do

If you're looking for tips on the composition, I think the pier/jetty/boat-platform-or-whatever-you-call-it-in-the-US and the skiff should be moved a little more to the right so that they both sit more in the middle.

Wanted to bring this back because it reached 3rd page hell no pun intended...
(this was inspired by Dante's inferno...)


i havent been work on this all the time. I had been listening to Welcome to the Jungle by Guns n Roses when I thought of it again

nice pic so far! im new and just started painting in ps6. i was wondering how you used the brush. like what settings did you use etc? i really like the effect.

Well i did use ps6. I used paintbrush tool at around 5-20% opacity.

Btw that pic is a little compressed too much and the brush edge is a lot harder than that. Damn jpg files...

Well it looks like the 9th gate style because it's about the gates of hell hehe...
