I'm about to throw this damn piece to trash can and start it all over again... now it looks bad and unrealistic
Here's a short explanation of what it should look like: Sad Yeti sitting on a cliff, he's holding handkerchief in his right hand. A group of travellers is walking away from the mountains. (he's is heart-broken because he won't see anyone for a loong time) The scripples on the background are supposed to be small hills of snow and cracks on the ice and such..
I won't start rendering it until the sketch looks good or realistic.. paintovers, anything would be very much appreciated!

I think the background needs to be pushed farther back. Try whiping off what you have now of the background and work with colors on lower opacity settings and more saturation. You rendered the Yeti character very nicely. I really like the composition of the scene. |

yeah... I think it looks really good as well!! I wouldn't be that sad and frustrated if I were you! I mean, I can sense from where you are coming regarding your frustrations with the piece, but when I look at your piece, I have no doubt that you are getting there! Not far to go!
One thing I believe would help a lot, and something I am sure you are going to do when the final rendering starts, would be to emphasize the location of the travellers as a hilltop, seperating this part from the mountains in the far back... foreground, middel and background! I am sure it will take away, at least some of your frustration when you you add the depth of the painting!
Nice work!!! ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
