Haha, I love the digital colouring of sketches I scanned. I must admit this digital technique is the discovery of the year for me. The time it would take me to colour this by hand... I will practice this!
I am playing with a storyline, and exploring the moods. The story has a family, boats, rivers, an airplane and its crew of flyboys, mountains and forests. I'm still trying to fit in a liberation army, but I need power tools to do that . It should grow to a complete comic, in cooperation with another more skillful artist.
You might recognize the girl. It's a character I fell in love with from the almighty Claire Wendling.
So this is one of those mouse-coloured sketches and what I'd like to know is if you like the atmosphere and possibly the style. All other comments are welcome too of course.
thanks! |

Well.... not going to critique but going to comment on. I really love the picture.... it really reminds me of monkey island series for some reason.
Only thing that strikes me as odd is inside of the cabin. It doesn't have the same style/detail as everything else.
i like it otherwise. |

very sweet dude, it reminds me of some cartoon I watched when I was young, Tin Tin comes to mind first but I dont think thats it. I love the feel of it, the water could use some more work, looks to solid, but its in WIP so your not finished right. Good luck! |

The constellations are all wrong...
Everything else is looking good. I agree with EviLToYLeT about the inside of the cabin. Perhaps the color should be different where the window and door are?
Doing a great job with the coloring. |

Dude!
that is an awsome pic. The story it tells is moving, harrowing, and just downright obnoxious at times! Great job though. keep up the good work!
