aight well I thought of this boring little concept chronicalling a medieval farmer's journey to the town to sell his goods and what happens to him. (to tell the truth I need a concentration idea for my AP portfolio and this is the best I can think of atm ) I've made this piece as just an experiment on where I want to take this. There will be at least 5 different scenes in this same format. This is the second scene.
Now this is orignal size, the real version will be about 3 or 4 times as large so there will be a lot of detail. The second wagon going over the hill (the one farthest away) won't be included on the final version. The border's will be pretty plain in the final, but a little more decorative than this. What would you guys suggest me to do with the composition/colors/style.
So yeah just rip it apart and tell me what I should be doing

A gradual transition of the greens and blues of the fields and woods to the browns and greys of the town center would be interesting, especially with the width of the images.
And a cathedral in town... And the town gate...
Haha, simple as it is, I like it. Don't drag in trolls, or elves or something. At least that's what I wouldn't do.
Just some ideas. |

hmm interesting, I was thinking somewhat on the same line. The mood of the pieces would gradually get darker. And don't worry about them pesky fantasy creatures that always seem to pop up. I'll keep out the riff raff |

Hey guys, I'm kinda have a bit of trouble making the tree leaves look right. My current version of this pic is a little bit tighter. (on the tightness scale it'd be a 3 where 5 being the tightest) Anyone have any tip, suggestions, tutorials that might help me out a bit?
thanks. |
