hello. This is my first time on this board and i've learned enough to have the courage to paint my first acrylic picture. I am having problems with the nature of the paint because it feels alot like streaky water colour to me. Can someone give me suggestions on how to improve my painting?

I like it. My only crits are that the face looks a bit strange, and the left wing seems a bit too contrasted with the right wing in lighting. Otherwise, it's a really nice picture. I suck at Real Life painting.
