he dont really look like a sniper to me. he looks more like a 20's pilot. snipers got those bodysuites that got loads of strands and random leafy things hanging from them. (check out the term ghillie suit on a serch engine) as to the pic, i think its really good, you might be able to achieve an even better result if you chade the outline too, its up to you |

He may not look like a true current day ground sniper, but i like the style and the gray tone. Nice style to it.
Only thing i can see is maybe his bottom right boot needs some work, it looks fluffy or something. |

Thank you both for your critics. And yes, you are both right:
RAZZAK: Yes, I didn't intend to make a "regular" sniper. I mean, not one those SAS, or SEAL snipers with Barrets and such (wow, they are cool!). I was thinking more in Sarajevo's snipers. You know, irregular partisans or civilians that take a gun and start firing people.
But you are right, I should have told that.
And your proposal of outlining him seems very interesting. I'l try it for sure!
KAD: Yes, the boot tried to simulate felt...like those used in winter by some northern countries. Evidently, I failed. |

It's very interresting how his facial features actually resemble the features of people from that region. Very good indeed!
What's the story of this guy?
The emotions (or lack thereof) of snipers is rather interresting imho.

SUKHOI: Thanks for your reply. Yes, I am a bit "obsesed" lately with snipers. It is quite odd how somebody can take killing other people in a "sportive" way.
I saw a TV report, where a serbian sniper (olimpic shooting sportman) served his country killing the peasants of Sarajevo. And he explained it quite coldly and with some similarities with hunting: "You try to hit your first victim in a place where he won't die quickly, so others will come to aid him, and you can shoot this ones too...".
That's why lately I draw snipers, not army snipers but civilian ones. |

Thats a rather twisted reason for drawing snipers. I like this one but he doesnt seem like a sniper to me either. Looks like a skinhead out to whack as many people as possible, rather pissed. I like snipers as well, thats me in a paintball game. "One shot, one kill." I like the picture though. Now draw the sniper that picks off these kind of snipers. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
