this isn't the actual color scheme. i just used that to block in the basic shapes at first.


on the right there's a Knight walking over the hill or whatever from behind, over the rocks by the stream. down stream there's a lady with her feet in the stream, looking over by the knight. and a nice tree in the BG

i had one person tell me i need to add more patterns and stuff to make the site more interesting, and another person told me i should make it really simple... so.... i'm not sure which is better. I prefer really flashy sites (not actually in flash, but nice looking HTML pages) so i think i'm goin with what my persconal preference (highly graphicly intense HTML sites)
the first idea would be less in file size. the borders would just be .gif's (i want to do the border in that 2 color stuff, if you know what i mean) and the other would have to be a lot of jpeg's. but if the second would look better, then i would want to do that.
so, what do you think?

go with the second one. Its looks like it would be more visually intresting. I'd love to see the finished product. BTW, what are you using to compose the web page, or are you doing it by hand with note pad?

i'm gonna draw it by hand first, then use photoshop 6 to paint it and slice it up, and Dreamweaver to do the HTML.
i'm wondering if it might get too high in file size though :-\ i knew it'd be more than a normal site, but if it's up at 100+ kb just to load the page... i dunno. that could be pretty crappy
ah, i guess we'll just have to wait until it's finished to see, eh?
