Hi there!
I would really fix the head if I where you!
It's all mouth and it seems to be floating in mid air.
Perhaps a lightsource which could cast some light and shadow on the beasts muscular body.
Nice colours, and looking forward to see where it ends!

Ziet er goed uit !.

Gebruik verschilende
layer voor verschillende delen, en probeer
het figuur niet te vaag te maken.
gebruik de burn tool niet te veel, je kunt
beter grijs gebruiken om meer schaduw te krijgen.

Dutch art rules.

interesting, but the head is a bit weird. the mouth seems a bit add. anyway, to shading. im not the one to talk, but what helps is if you draw a line across the picture (on a separate layer) to show where the light is coming from, it helps me alot, especially with difficult lighting

First up: no matter how complex or outlandish the creature, think first about it's structure and how it all fits together. In your picture, the design is good, kind of a Jack Kirby-esque mad mad monster, but it's proportions and how the limbs (and particularly the

head) connect to the body are unclear. The head, for instance, seems to be growing directly out of the upper chest, but if this is so then it is twisted incorrectly (i.e. it can only be following the same plane as the torso).

In my overlay picture, I've tried to roughly indicate how the head might go if the neck is
suggested, and also geometrically plotted a slightly more correct placement of the limbs.

The colouring isn't too bad for a first attempt, it will come, but don't be afraid of deep hues to indicate light direction. Always think in your mind of where the light is coming from - even in line work this can make a difference, as certain really good inkers weight the line for areas that will be in shadow.

sb
