well, i've been working on this one for a little while. Wanted to know what you guys thought, maybe what you might do differently, etc. I think the hand is disproportionate, but i still think it looks alright.

I'd shrink the hand and define the neck area more, I think it's too thick and short.

Btw, this reminds me of Tool's stinkfist music video..

Good luck!

you know what? I was watching that about a month ago when i started this, so it's very likely that the pose is inspired by it... i'm very much into tool. saw them in concert a while back. thanks for the critique. anyone else have any suggestions?

The hand is out of place, maybe it would suite the scene if the person had more of a trying to grasp pose with the hand, not a almost cliched fist ordeal.

The Stinkfist video is my favorite Tool video, nice job of capturing the look and feel, because the first thing I thought of was the video.

I'm not so certain it's the hand that's at fault - what's more distracting to me is the anatomy of how the upper arm meets the shoulder:

Above, I've tried to indicate how this should probably go. The hand could be more 'grippy', but then again that might not be the affect you're after.

specialbrew: I agree... thanks for the help. Now that i look at it, the shoulder does look a little off. and the forearm does seem a little too long. You guys are great for helping me out with this. I'll have to help more people out to return the favor. This forum is great. THanks, Dhabi (or however the hell you spell his name) I'll post some followups to you guys's suggestions a little later. Thanks again!
