I finally got a wacom and this is what I came up with.. unfortunately I'm getting bored with this picture (well, a bit boring picture it actually is so far) already and thought maybe some feedback would motivate/inspire me to continue.
I find light rendering a bit tricky and would be grateful for some tips.
There must be some anatomy problems, but for some reason I don't find them disturbing, please tell if you do.

did you use any photo reference? it'd be interesting to see, because that post looks a little uncomfortable to me... but maybe that guy actually does that on stage or something. Otherwise, looks good. if the flat colors style is what you're going for, you'r almost there, but if you want detail, you might want to put some small brush strokes in there

I had no reference. Maybe the pose is uncomfortable, because he's playing like hell and expressing his true feelings with the instrument Actually I was/am going to add a box or something under his left foot, that might change some balance issues or not..
I'd love to have more detailed version, this is just as far as I've come so far.. thanks a lot for the tip and comments!
