Try pointing and holding your mouse over those symbols at the heading of each one of your posts and watch the explanation of what clicking it would do, magically appear after a second.

Especially this one

Clicking it will allow you to fix spelling, bad UBB code and so on ...

After you have edited a post, there will be a little note at the end of your note explaining that it has been edited. See below. It will be added automatically after you edit the post the first time. If you edit your post many times, it will appear many times. You can then see then in the message you are editing, and you may delete them if you like.
