don't use the airbrush, try to use the paintbrush instead.

hands arent too bad, i dont really know exactly how big the hands are supposed to be compared to the face, but youll get the feel through experience in drawing em. hand on left in akward position |

I think this drawing has a lot of potential if you clean up the lines a bit- I'd especially recommend going over the black lines with the paintbrush set to 100% opacity.
Quick tip: to color line drawings, set the paintbrush mode to "multiply" and you won't color over the black lines.
As for the background- my first thought was a forest, but that's not very creative, heh. It depends what the object in her hand is intended for, I guess... |

Paintbrush for the line work would definately help this piece. I also think the skin tones need some work. One thing you might try is just going in with the smudge tool and pussing the skin around a little bit to get some better color blends and variations. If you have a wacom them just set it at 100% and go over lightly, if not then you will prolly need to go down to about 25% with a mouse so you do push things around to far.
Would like to see your updated version. |
