I see you're inspired by Mr. Masamune Shirow. I can't blame you, what that man does is fantastic!
I would try to put the mech in perspective (3/4 or so), and not looking directly at the thing's side like this.
Also, what is the connection between the background and the mech itself? The colour of the background should come back in the colouring of the mech somehow... that'll create a mental bridge for us to use, and place it in the surroundings more easily. Which will give it a third dimension too.
And check the head. The legs and the body are mostly tight and clean design, but the eyes don't fit in. I suggest you search for some pictures of jumping spiders (that's a direct translation from Flemish to English, so I don't know if it's right), they are what this mech was based on, I think, and they have the grooviest heads.
