I found out that one of the girls I graduated with was murdered late monday nite
apparently (although I dont know for sure) she was killed with an axe.
I didnt know her very well myself but it still left me with a sense of my own mortality.
please cherish every moment you have with your family and loved ones.. |

That's so terrible... you hear about these things on the news and think about how sad things are... but then suddenly it hits close to home and it is totally different. A good friend of mine was attacked the other night when a guy broke into her house and beat/raped her. I have never known anyone to be violently assaulted like that and it was just so shocking and disturbing to hear that it happened to someone I knew and liked I couldn't believe how different it felt to hear about something like that happening to a friend. *sighs sadly* That's really awful news, sorry to hear it |

Hey Awetopsy,
Real sorry to hear about that. Knowing someone who dies, especially violently, is very disturbing. Almost three years ago, the husband of a girl I worked with was killed in an accident.
I'd played baseball with him on the staff team, had beers with him and seen him at the staff parties. He was a good guy. Unfortunately, he was severly injured in a car accident and came in to where I work. They were doing CPR on him when I showed up to take any necessary xrays. We didn't take any however, he died shortly after he arrived. I only knew it was him when they went through his wallet and pulled out his family picture.
I still think about that night every once in a while now.
Sorry to ramble in your thread Awetopsy, take it easy man.
Radiater. |

Edit your message, lest it be in poor taste, Anthony. </sternwarning>
Death is scary, man. I remember being a 12 year-old looking out my window to the methhouse across the street to see a guy drive up, jump out of his car, run into the house with a Glock in his house, fired three shots, ran back out, shot the guy running up with a rifle in his hands in the neck, and jumped in his car and ran off.
It's different in real life, believe me. It's hard to see the back of a guy's neck rip open and watch him drop onto the ground, blood pouring out, unable to scream.
I feel for you, sir. |

Oh man, sorry to hear. Death is not a bad thing when it happens due to natural causes but things such as what happened to your friend are horrible, same with your friend Jez.
It is a totaly different when it hits close to home.
I had a ex co-worker of mine die in a car accident two weeks ago, and the worse it was partly his fault, he was racing another car and he lost control.
You guys be careful out there. |

when i lived in italy ( i was about 6-7) i met a guy and became good friends with him. one day my parents went to work early and i decided not to go to school....and watched fist of the north star....and devilman.
i seen the kid go to school alone out of the building....from my balcony...i never said hey...or bye...
he went over to the bus stop.
later that day i learned that while waiting for the bus he looked out to see if the bus was comming and as he turned back a lace from his backpack got caught in a passing car and pulled him towards the road.....
the car behind rode over him. he survived the incident...but he wasnt the same. his brain was extremely damaged...he couldnt walk.. im not sure what happened to him after that..if he lived or not...
i wonder from time to time how things would turn out if i had decided to go to school that day. if i would have taked his place....or if my cautiousness would have told him to stay a little further away from the curb and saved him...dunno. |
