Hi - this is my very frst post - been lurking here over the weekend and thought I'd join your fun. Most of my stuff is just sketches and unfinished idas so I'll work on them some more before I post any "real" work here for crits.
Anyway, I have these for you - made using a Palm M100 - no references, no touch-ups. I think the palm basicly sucks, but I find the idea of a portable digital sketchbook very interesting and will most probably be a nice friend in the future...
Paste the link into a new window... one more thing I have to fix - webpage...

Welcome!
Those sketches are pretty cool for a Palm! I've often wondered how well those small little handhelds worked for sketching. I almost bought one for that express purpose --but then I realized for the same price I could buy 10 sketchbooks.

Is it just me, or does that last one look like a whacked out Agent Scully? |

dont think so T, try using a 1 pixel pencil tool in photoshop, or microsoft paint.
great work Astroinvader, really shows that its the artist, and not the tools that makes a great picture. makes me wanna get a palm ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Thanks!
Milla and Gillian - that's pretty funny, cause they are my two very favs , to me it's very flattering that you think my ladies resembles those two - but I have not tried to draw them - this is my style... even before I knew about them... I think
The Palm is very crude, I use Tealpaint, it's by far the best prog for artists.
There is no pressure sensitivity but you can use greyscales and it supports color if you have such a PDA.
You can draw larger than the screen and you can zoom in.
What makes it possible at all to achieve somewhat clean lines is that you can use a tool which is filtered so that you get the general line - not every single pixel touched by the pen - that would have caused very squiggly lines. |

Also, what's exciting about the palm in my case is that it brings out and reminds me of what I believe is the fundamental fascination and what inspires me to draw - that a white paper and a few lines can express just about anything. |
