Nice idea! I would still put some work in the overall shape of the body. It isn't as strong as it could be, more of an amorph blob now. I would try to make the hull more compact and simplify it.
The leg mechanics are cool too, though they feel awkward because one of the legs seems to sit completely at the front of the hull. I think it's difficult to find the right amount of new and known features, but I fear that leg-in-front-concept is too radical to get accepted by the audience. |

Hi JR! I want to share you a tip of mine, When i draw a robot, i normally construct the lines first before painting it. I reall like your robot, especially the leg. The body is nice too but right now, it is a bit confusing. I suggest you draw the basic shape first, then modify its shape or add in some machinery stuff.
If you want to improve your robot drawing skill, try to look at all the mechanical things from cars/trucks....etc and incorporate them into your robot. I hope my reply help you ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

ah I thought I saw this on your concept page...and might I add it is very interesting. This character belongs in a story of some sort. I was wonder what is the best way to paint metal? I see you've played around with painting metal here and there and wondered if you could demonstrate the steps? This is off to a good start...I really enjoyed your oil paintings too.
Peace |
